Cat and Dog Imaging in Colorado Springs, CO

Our cat and dog imaging equipment gives our emergency vet team the ability to more fully diagnose serious health issues in pets, which leads to better treatment. Many problems taking place in pets, be they injuries or illnesses, cannot be properly identified or understood without the internal imaging that x-ray and ultrasound provide. At Tri-Lakes Animal Emergency Care in Colorado Springs, we utilize our advanced technology to give our dog and cat patients the best chance for a successful treatment and full recovery.

Digital X-ray for Dogs and Cats

Digital radiography (x-ray) is one of the best tools available for visualizing the bones, joints, heart, and lungs. Using less radiation and providing higher-quality images than standard film x-ray, our digital x-ray procedures can also proceed more quickly and be less stressful overall for our patients. An additional benefit of our digital x-ray equipment is that it allows us to save files of your pet’s images, which can be easily emailed to your regular veterinarian or an outside specialist if need be.

Cat and Dog Ultrasound

Ultrasound is another non-invasive imaging technique that uses sound wave pulses to help us visualize the internal organs. Unlike x-ray, ultrasound is better for viewing the soft tissues, and more important it gives our team a moving, real-time view of your pet’s internal systems. In particular, ultrasound is ideal for viewing the abdomen and the heart for abnormalities, but it can also be used to check for tumors and cysts, and help us identify foreign bodies.
